 History
of the Park Church
Park Church has a long and rich history, dating back to the 1840's
that started as a member of the Independent Congregational Churches
known as anti-slavery churches. Thomas K. Beecher, Crytal Eastman, and
Mark Twain were part of this fascinating history.
Music at Park
Music at Park is intertwined with the Church's
rich history. The beautiful organ music, a dedicated adult choir, and
an innovative children's program encourages active participation by
members of the congregation, no matter what their age (yes, the tenderness
of a baby crying is music to our ears!). The Church and local community
enjoy recitals that are offered throughout the year by a talented music
staff and guest performers.
