Join us for an amazing six-week journey where we create brave space and speak truthfully about racism in our nation.
During our time together we will explore the history of racism including its relationship with American Christianity; the connection between bias, stereotypes, and microaggressions (and how to respond when they occur!); the challenges of white privilege and white privilege resistance; and the effects of redlining and the “zero sum paradigm”.
We end by teaching the skills necessary to live as an antiracist person of faith. Each session is two hours and includes videos, discussion, and reflection. Community members are welcome.

This program was a revelation to some of our members, a refresher for some, and a serious reminder that the work of fighting racism is never complete.
We were challenged by much of the material, encouraged to share our personal experiences, and allowed to digest some very difficult truths that our sisters and brothers of color experience every day of their lives, but that we, as a primarily white community of faith, might not ever have considered without this work.
The timing allows for participants to reflect and absorb issues of race and racism that might not have been considered or understood, without being overwhelmed.
