Community Arts of Elmira presents Art Reflects, free, interactive, expressive art classes for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and their care partners. Classes will be held on the third Thursday of every month at 413 Lake St., from 1pm-2pm. To register, or for more information, contact info@communityartsofelmira.com.
"Art Reflects" is a hands-on, interactive arts program for individuals with the diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease or other Dementias and their Care Partners. "Art Reflects" focuses more on the socialization of the activity than the final artwork, creating community connections and reducing individual isolation. Community Arts of Elmira also exhibits participants' projects for the community to experience, which helps to grow more understanding of and compassion for those living with Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementias.
Registration is required by noon the day before the class
