📖 Scriptures: Romans 12: 1-21
Jenny Monroe will be leading the worship service and will present her “Mrs. Beecher & Mark Twain” monologue created for the 2017 “Close to Clemens” program as envisioned by Martha Horton. Martha was able to entice nine community members to each research a person who knew Clemens during those summers he spent in Elmira.
We’ll also get to know a little more about Julia Jones Beecher and what has been written about her "larger than life" personality as the helpmate for pastor Thomas K. Beecher during his pastorate at the church from 1854 to his death in 1900.
