ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) — June marks Pride Month across the country. Ahead of Pride celebrations in the Twin Tiers, one Elmira pastor talked about the significance of the month.

Pride is about more than just celebrating people's identity today. It's also about honoring the history of the LGBTQ+ rights movement.

Reverend Gary Brinn is the pastor and teacher at Park Church in downtown Elmira. He said the message of equality is just as important as ever.
