Community Arts of Elmira presents The Elmira Film Project, a continuing program in the development of Elmira and the Finger Lakes Region as areas primed for filmmaking. On January 21st, filmmakers will show a rough cut and two short films created in Elmira and the Finger Lakes Region.
Viewers will see a rough cut of Flood Line by Filmmaker Sophia Feuer that not only features scenes, but also actors from Elmira! The additional short films include historic elements of upstate New York with allusions to childhood.
An After Talk with the Audience will follow the three showings, providing the opportunity for the audience to engage with the filmmakers in a discussion of cinematic storytelling.
